My name is Vicki. I was diagnosed with a developmental disability (probably Asperger Syndrome) at age 34. I like sewing, playing computer games, watching birds and collecting rocks (which I'm doing in this picture).
Emma is 5years old and has classic autism. She loves watching videos, My Little Pony, and sneaking snacks when nobody is watching. Emma is non-verbal, but, has ALOT to say! She is a sweet little girl who is always happy and smiling.
Mina, 6, diagnosed PDDNOS three years ago. She sleeps with a stuffed centipede, a puppy, and a teddy bear (as pictured). She loves drawing and making things with paper. She also loves insects and is sad when people kill them. She says she wants to be an entomologist and an artist.
Or back of the head if you prefer! These positive images speak for themselves.
If you would like to add a photograph please email me at Julielorenzen[at]hotmail.com with a short caption and a link to your blog if you have one.
I hope you will make some new friends.
I would love any art work to add to the side bar.
Thank you! Note: Faces of Autism has a new administrator, as of 9-25-11, which is why the contact email has changed. Julie Lorenzen will now take submissions to this blog.
